Luiza Bruscato appointed new Executive Director of RTRS


We are pleased to announce the appointment of Luiza Bruscato as Executive Director of RTRS. Luiza is Brazilian, based in São Paulo and graduated in Environmental Engineering from the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). He spent most of his career working on sustainability projects, resulting in fifteen years of experience in the third sector and also in the public and private sectors. Luiza has demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership in her current role as Executive Director of the Brazilian Table for Sustainable Livestock.


“We are confident that Luiza’s strategic vision, passion for our mission and vast experience make her the ideal candidate to lead RTRS into a new era of growth and success. Luiza has extensive experience in managing remote teams, highlighting her adaptability and resilience to navigate the ever-evolving dynamics of our modern workplace. Together with the Executive Committee, we foresee great achievements under your guidance” , stated Lieven Callewaert , President of RTRS, on behalf of the Executive Committee.


His commitment to promoting collaboration between diverse actors has contributed significantly to the success of the Livestock Roundtables in Latin America, including leadership on crucial challenges. His decisive role in the digital transformation of the Sustainable Livestock Working Group (GTPS) of the Brazilian Sustainable Livestock Table resulted in a significant increase in the membership base and demonstrated his ability to foster organizational growth and inclusion.

Soy is undeniably one of the most important products in the world and the commitment to producing it sustainably is not just a goal – it is a purpose. As I embark on this new professional journey, I am extremely excited about strategically advancing the challenges of this sector; Being part of RTRS is an opportunity to contribute to a sustainable future in soy production. In this role, I recognize the importance of continuing to build strong relationships with stakeholders, including farmers, industry experts, civil society organizations and policymakers. Open communication and collaboration will continue to be the basis for overcoming challenges and promoting sustainable practices”, said Luiza Bruscato.

 

Luiza will officially take on the role on January 15, 2024. We are confident that her solid background and extensive experience will bring new leadership and innovation to our organization.
