Datamars strengthens commitment to sustainable agriculture with partnership with the Brazilian Sustainable Livestock Table

Climate, traceability, animal welfare, and productivity are important themes for the Brazilian Roundtable on Sustainable Livestock (MBPS), which brings together partners from across the beef value chain to strengthen sustainable livestock farming in Brazil through economic, social, and environmental approaches. It is a mission that Datamars is also proud to be a partner of.

Datamars recently joined as a member of the Brazilian Roundtable, a partnership that enhances the company's efforts and contributions to accelerating the global production of sustainable livestock.

"The Brazilian Roundtable is a highly active organization with clear synergies with our goals," says Luis Muller, Commercial Director of Datamars Latin America, who is leading the partnership on behalf of Datamars.

"Our focus on technology and data-driven tools that enable livestock farmers and producers to make more precise decisions to increase animal productivity while minimizing the use of scarce resources will be part of our shared knowledge," he says.

Resources and insights from all links in the meat production chain converge at the Brazilian Roundtable. The broad membership includes entities such as DSM and Cargill, and now Datamars, along with industry organizations, retailers and restaurants, financial institutions, civil society, producers, research centers, and universities. Collectively, they provide the Brazilian Roundtable with extraordinary influence, diverse perspectives, and experience.

The Brazilian Roundtable on Sustainable Livestock, a non-profit organization, is recognized with the International Excellence in Sustainability Certificate and represents Brazil at the UN. The group is a member of the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (GRSB), which shares the same goals and principles – promoting the sustainability of the beef value chain through leadership, science, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration. Datamars joined the GRSB last year.

Muller says that the Datamars team in Brazil is eager to be part of working groups focused on traceability, land use, and animal welfare.

"We believe in the importance of the livestock sector and the communities that are part of it. We want to advocate for sustainable production and continue to take action to advance it even further. Through collaboration, access to knowledge, and best practices, we can help find better ways to serve the country and promote the sustainability of the sector for the benefit of all."

"We are excited to have Datamars as new members," says Luiza Bruscato, Executive Director of the Brazilian Roundtable. "And we look forward to working with the organization to advance our shared mission of practical actions to produce beef with biodiversity management in Brazil. Technology is a critical enabler, and the technologies and data insight solutions that Datamars provides, as well as their knowledge and passion for agricultural education to support farmers and producers, make them a valuable collaborator."
